The Library
Our handpicked library is a valuable resource for newcomers to Berlin, providing essential information and expert advice to ease their transition into city life.
It covers everything from daily life and cultural insights to job applications and finding the perfect neighborhood.
-Need to build a network, enjoy cultural activities on a budget, or navigate the subway? The Library has you covered, helping you make informed decisions for a smooth transition.
A Planner
As you explore the Library, you’ll start getting a sense of direction. Soon, you’ll likely want to add personal tasks to your to-do list, such as getting a transit pass, translating your CV, or researching bank accounts.
-Need to perform these chores efficiently and stay organized? Track upcoming appointments and past accomplishments. Our Planner provides a clear overview, giving you the guidance and motivation to keep moving forward.
your Marketplace
This is where the magic for expats happens. This is where you’ll turn to for help:
-Need to figure out what that scary official letter says? Send a photo to a local, and they’ll help you out in your own language.
-Need to copy your apartment key? Ask a friendly neighbor for advice.
-Need help with your Anmeldung and don’t speak German? Ask a Berliner to be your translator and guide.
Here, as a Berliner, you can offer on-site or phone assistance, post your translation, pet sitting or accounting services, and leverage your fluency in German, English, and other languages to monetize the skills you already have. You’re outgoing, with a can-do attitude—and this is the place to put that to work
Our revenue model is based on targeted niche advertising within the marketplace. User feedback will be instrumental in the development of future B2C features and market verticals.
This project has been moving at full speed since its inception in September 2024. What started as an idea is now driven by two eager co-founders, actively building our team and preparing to turn our prototype into a fully functional MVP.
We’re currently seeking investors, mentors, collaborators, and strategic partners to accelerate our growth and maximize the value we can deliver to our users and customers. Together, we aim to scale quickly and make a meaningful impact
September: The first day of a remarkable journey
October: Laying the groundwork with the initial concept and prototype structure
November: A key milestone. Welcoming a co-founder on board as CFO to strengthen our financial strategy
December: We’ve secured both the .eu and .net domains, and our website is now officially up and running
January: Taking the first steps in building a strong network of investors and supporters
February: Our blog is live. We're thrilled to start actively helping newcomers settle into Berlin
This Is What We Have Been Working On
We’re outsourcing the development of our app for three key reasons: Speed, efficiency, and long-term vision. We want to work with an experienced team that’s already collaborated successfully together, ensuring rapid progress without the pressure of onboarding new members just to meet deadlines
We bring valuable experience from past projects and have a clear vision of what to expect from our app. Our priorities include scalability, a clean and robust architecture, adherence to best coding practices, and the flexibility to seamlessly integrate new features. Additionally, we want it to be easily maintained or taken over by another team in the future. Our goal is to eliminate any potential bottlenecks, especially once marketing campaigns are underway
We’re committed to the long haul, where harmony, trust, and understanding in the workplace are our top priorities. That said, we’re team players at heart and are actively exploring the right workforce structure to support our growth and goals moving forward
